The New York Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) is offering a two-day course free of charge on Unix/Linux Security.
UNIX has been utilized for the past 25 years and has evolved into a very reliable multitasking and multi user operating system. UNIX, its variants and clones (Linux) have become the operating system of choice for major mission critical systems for internal and external use. In this intensive two day course, participants will gain in-depth knowledge of Unix/Linux through lecture and hands on-exercises. This course is intended to be a starting point for the understanding the UNIX/LINUS operating system.
This course will be taught by Allen Lum, Director of Information Technology Risk, for Control Solutions International. Initial registration for this course is restricted to our returning veterans and unemployed members at no cost. All registrants attending for free will be required to provide evidence of service or proof of unemployment.
